When
June 6, 2022 - June 9, 2022
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Sign up for a three-day virtual workshop in Data Journalism.

This workshop will be led by Bill Monroe and  Gwendolynne Perreira from Microsoft 365 for Journalists.

1st session – June 6th at 6:00 PM EST

In this session, we’ll introduce the basics of Excel. At the end of the session, you’ll start to see the possibilities that Excel offers for you storytelling. If you know nothing about Excel or have any questions that you’re afraid are “too basic” to ask, this session is for you.

2nd session – June 7th at 6:00 PM EST

In this session, we’ll work with data in more detail. We’ll format the data to make it easier to understand trends. We’ll also show you how you can pull in more information about your data from the web. Finally, we’ll show you how you can turn that data into charts and graphs to work with it in a more visual context.

3rd session – June 9th at 6:00 PM EST

Pivot Tables and Array Functions are like dark magic. In this session, well de-mystify them, and show how you can use these tools to save time and unlock new insights in your data.

This workshop is offered FREE for MVJ members like you and it’s a tremendous opportunity to learn from the best and connect with other journalists.
