Scott Bourque

Scott Bourque is a Navy combat veteran, law student, and former journalist whose work focuses on the intersection of disability and the legal system. As a communications consultant and journalism professor, he has trained reporters nationwide on ethical disability coverage and the responsibilities of reporting on the justice system.

His award-winning reporting and public scholarship draw from lived experience with invisible disabilities and years of teaching future journalists how to approach disability and the law with accuracy, accountability, and respect.
