September MVJ Virtual Cocktail Hour
Join us for this month’s MVJ virtual cocktail hour on Zoom! These meetings are the perfect opportunity for MVJ members to connect, chat and learn from each other – and a featured MVJ mentor. Each month, a professional from the MVJ community will share their career experience and offer advice and feedback along the way.
This month, we welcome Sharryse Piggot, a Marine Corps and National Guard veteran and the WUNC at Chapel Hill Public Radio afternoon reporter.
Bring your questions, grab a beverage and join us for the (little bit later) cocktail hour at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 25th!

Sharryse Piggot
Sharryse Piggott is from Pocomoke, Maryland. She served 4 years as an active duty U.S Marine and 5 years in the North Carolina Army National Guard. Sharryse interned at 101.9 Kiss in New Bern, N.C., and worked for Digital Dope Radio in Atlanta, G.A., as the chief blogger and radio personality. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Currently, she hosts a podcast called Connect Like Minds. She interviews people making a difference in their communities and in their creative spaces. Sharryse also works as a full-time journalist at a radio station in Chapel Hill.
