About the Speaker
Jason Delgado
Jason Delgado is a political correspondent for Spectrum News covering state politics and government from the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee. Since joining Spectrum News in 2022, he has reported on legislative issues, statewide campaigns, and the policy decisions shaping Florida communities.
An Orlando native, Jason is a graduate of University of Central Florida and a U.S. Army veteran. He earned degrees in political science and national security and served as editor-in-chief of Knight News during his time at UCF, where he developed a passion for political and public affairs reporting.
Before joining Spectrum News, Jason built his career as a print journalist with outlets including USA TODAY Florida, POLITICO, and Florida Politics, focusing primarily on state government, elections, and legislative coverage.
Outside the newsroom, Jason enjoys traveling, following the Orlando Magic, and continuously learning about the world around him.
