Introduction to Allbritton Journalism Institute

When
May 18, 2023
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

MVJ invites you to learn about the new Allbritton Journalism Institute on May 18th at 4 PM Eastern!

The Allbritton Journalism Institute is a new non-profit organization backed by Robert Allbritton, the founding publisher of Politico. The Institute’s leadership and teaching faculty are veteran journalists whose work has appeared in top national publications. Like Robert Allbritton, they care deeply about restoring journalism’s critical role in our national conversation while expanding opportunities for aspiring journalists with different backgrounds and beliefs.

This year, the Allbritton Journalism Institute will offer $60,000 annual stipends to aspiring or early-career reporters to spend up to two years in Washington studying journalism. Participants will attend classes with accomplished journalists and hone their skills by working alongside veteran reporters and editors on a new, non-partisan publication that will cover government, policy and politics.

The program begins this September, and applications are due May 31. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about this innovative new program from a member of the AJI team!
