Joe Schuman, Editor-in-Chief of Divided We Fall, will speak with attendees about the publication’s background, culture, team and goals. About the Speakers

Joe Schuman is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Divided We Fall, which he started in 2018 with his cousin and Political Pen Pal, Robert Wilkes. Today, he works to set the vision of Divided We Fall and to build the team to meet that mission. During the day, Joe works as a civilian for the Department of Defense promoting innovation and emerging technology and serves as an Officer in the Air National Guard. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Arman Amini is honored to serve Divided We Fall’s Executive Director in support of its important work. During the day, he is a public-sector management consultant and previously served in Teach for America in Southeast Arkansas and as a Fulbright fellow in Central Asia. He is a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member, and earned his MBA at Dartmouth College, his MPA at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a degree in computer science at UPenn.
Matthew Bernard brings his passion for strengthening democracy to Divided We Fall by growing revenue streams and developing strategic partnerships. He is a career Naval Officer with nine years of experience in aviation, national security, and congressional affairs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from The Citadel and a Master of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
