Attend MVJ’s radio broadcast clinic on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 PM (EST) to strengthen your broadcast news-writing and radio reporting techniques. MVJ members who attend this virtual training session may be chosen to lead off the Rethinking Heroes Radio Show with a 5-minute newsflash on Friday mornings on KPFK, 90.7 FM. This paid opportunity for exposure during the coveted 9 AM drive-time slot is funded by Let’s Rethink This, an organization dedicated to discovering and distributing innovative solutions to veteran suicide.

Those selected to participate in the KFPK Broadcast Externship will write and record their 5-minute news flash packages on Thursday nights to air the following day. Each assignment they accept takes up to four hours of work and pays $100.
