About the Speaker

Ben Kesling is an award-winning Midwest correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, where he focuses on national security and veterans issues. In this webinar, he will discuss his recently published book, Bravo Company, and share his thoughts on how to gather and verify information, structure ideas, and write compelling longform journalism. 

Kesling has a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School, attended the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and previously served as a Marine Corps infantry officer in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also a two-day Jeopardy! champion. He lives in Chicago with his wife and kids. 

Bravo Company is about a US Army paratrooper company’s harrowing 2009 deployment to the Arghandab in Afghanistan and the decade of reckoning afterwards. It is available for purchase in bookstores, and the audiobook, read by Kesling himself, is available on Audible.
